RCA2023: ROYAL COLLEGE OF ART SHOWCASE

  • Truman Brewery Ely's Yard London, England, E1 6QL United Kingdom (map)

Included in this year’s Royal College of Art showcase is a collaborative project with graduating architect Molly Hughes called “Taboo in the Loo” that aims to challenge societal taboos surrounding menstruation through an innovative combination of scent design and architectural space reimagining.

The exhibit features a fragrance concept I designed to confront negative attitudes towards menstrual blood and its odor. To achieve this, I created a fragrance called "Menstrual Mix," designed to evolve throughout the day, incorporating undertones of the changing odors of menstrual blood during the 7-day menstrual cycle.
